Industrial Design Lead (Los Angeles)

Responsibilities
Build out US Industrial Design Department, establish standards, hire and develop talent
Assemble, management, and lead Industrial Design teams of skilled experts
Lead design thinking process from conceptual, to strategic, to tactical, to execution
Collaborate close with Product Management and Engineering to produce informed designs
Synthesize thoughtful designs that address people's needs and aspirations across a range of
Product lines
Communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential objects, and persuades others to adopt a
Different point of view
Establishment design language for different product lines informed by brand feeling, trends, and
Competitive forces
Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on aesthetic, function, serviceability, and budget
Requirements
Love technology, excited about the future, passionate about designing next-gen products
8 years of relevant Industrial Design experience
Impressive portfolio of cutting-edge design that demonstrates forward thinking
Strong understanding of latest CE technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes
Demonstrated experience with defining materials, colors, and finishes for manufacturing
Strong command of all current and upcoming Industrial Design software and equipment
Curious, observant, talented, thoughtful, empathetic, confident, experienced
Experience in a management leadership role, hiring, management, and evaluating employees
Chinese language ability preferred
