Shaanxi Industrial Vocational and Technical College was approved by the Ministry of Education in March 1999, established in 1950 by the state-level key secondary school - Xianyang Machine Manufacturing School upgraded full-time provincial colleges and universities, is the first northwest region by the Ministry of Education approved the reform and upgrading of the higher vocational colleges. In January 2010, Shaanxi Textile and Garment Vocational and Technical College merged to form a new Shaanxi Industrial Vocational and Technical College.
