School Description

First Leap is a teaching institution with a content language integrated learning (CLIL) curriculum. The students learn through creatively designed lessons in subjects such as; art, music, world culture, global leadership, science, reading, virtual PE and logical thinking. First Leap has an already developed curriculum, pre-prepared and tested lessons that are taught with interactive whiteboards. The company originated in Beijing and now have grown over 41 cities in China, there is 2 school based in jiaxing City and are around 3 foreign teachers.

Details of Position:
You will be responsible for delivering quality lessons to our First Leap students. We are looking for teachers who are positive, active and outgoing who have a passion for education. First Leap constantly gives teachers the opportunity to learn more about teaching through an array of different training programs. Through these training programs First Leap has different career paths to offer.
Requirements to Teach English in Jiaxing China:
1.Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
2.Degree: BA or above (Education, linguistics or English degree given top priority).
3.Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience required.
4.Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.
Responsibilities for Teachers in First Leap:
1.Student age range: 3 – 12 years old.
2.Class size: 10 – 14 students in one class.
3.Class length: 40 minutes to 1 hour containing various creative teaching techniques.
4.Working Hours: 36 Hours (Wed - Sun Work Week); office hours, training and teaching hours.
5.Curriculum: CLIL (Content Learning Integrated Language) formed curriculum, Chinese teachers provide standard English language classes, Foreign teachers provide different subject classes for students to express English language. Lesson guides and Flipcharts for interactive whiteboards are provided. Training on curriculum is provided initially and throughout the year.
6.Chinese Teaching Assistant: You will be assisted with a bilingual Chinese teacher for each class.
7.Training: hotel paid initial training in Beijing (training is paid based on performance) / On-going training throughout the year – provided by training department team of teachers (Foreign and Chinese).
What We Offer our Teachers:
1.Visa: Assistance in sponsored legal Z Work Visa in your home country and in China.
2.Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.
3.On boarding: Ground service assistance.
Your compensation will include:
1.Net Monthly income: RMB 15,500 – 20,000) *

2.Housing: Monthly stipend USD 290 (RMB 2,000).
3.Relocation: USD 1,400 (RMB 10,000) paid in first 3 months
4.Bonus: Monthly bonus every month – calculated by teacher’s performance data *
5.Airfare Bonus: Provided once contract is fulfilled USD 1100 (RMB 8,000).
6.Demo class bonus: USD 9 (RMB 60) for each student signed up.
7.Over time: Amount stipulated in handbook by school.
8.Insurance: Basic Chinese health insurance.
9.Public Holiday: Chinese public holidays off, Christmas and New Year’s Day off.
10.Annual Holiday: 1st year teacher has 3 paid days’ annual leave.
11.Sick Leave: 5 paid days’ sick leave.

英语老师岗位要求:能说地道的英语,学士或以上(教育、语言学或英语学位优先),要求获得TEFL/其他教学证书或2年教学经验,必须愿意搬来中国。
岗位职责:教授学生年龄范围:3-12岁,班级规模:一个班10-14名学生。课时:40分钟到1小时,包含各种创造性的教学技巧,工作时间:36小时(周三-周日工作周),每节课都会有一名双语教师。
