3. Teaching English in Xiamen
You will find teaching English in Xiamen is a rewarding experience. From ancient temples to gorgeous landscape then modern buildings, Xiamen is a small island with a lot to offer. It is a famous destination for tourists from all over the country, and it’s not hard to see why as soon as you breathe its fresh air and feel its coastal breeze. When you’re not in the classroom, you will have plenty of time to explore the local cuisine at the lively night markets, study Mandarin Chinese and walk the beach and the mountain! Teaching English in Xiamen is more than a job—it’s an adventure!

4. Vacancies and Job Description
Giraffe English is now looking for both full-time and part-time teachers to teach young learners aged 2 -13. Our teachers are responsible for planning and teaching lessons, assessing student performance and progress, and delivering the curriculum with creativity, energy and enthusiasm to ensure that lessons are fun and effective.

4.1 Full-time Teacher
4.1.1 Desired Qualification for Prospective Candidates
- Professional language teaching experience, 1 year minimum, or professional teaching certificate (TEFL, TESOL etc.)
- Graduated with a full university degree from an accredited institution
- Native speaker of English language or non-native speaker with English proficiency close to native speaker
- Someone who enjoys working with children
- Willing to commit to at least one-year contract

4.1.2 Remuneration and Bonus
- Work visa provided
- Salary between RMB 12,000 to 15,000 per calendar month and RMB 2,000 housing bonus
- Basic medical insurance and paid Chinese national holidays
- 16 teaching hours per week
- 10 office hours per week
- Cozy classroom and office on third floor of Robinsons Galleria
- All course books and teaching materials are provided
- Teacher assistant provided, training provided

4.1.3 Documents to be submitted
- University degree and/or TESOL certificate
- Passport with photo and signature
- Formal resume and motivation letter
- Medical report certified by a medical authority
- Criminal record check
- A passport size photo

4.2 Part-time Teacher
Part-time teachers will be mainly responsible for promotion activities, therefore professional language teaching experience or professional language teaching certificate (TEFL, TESOL etc.) will be a huge plus, but we also invite fresh graduates or graduate-to-be to join us as part of your practicum. The payment will range from RMB 150 to 200 per hour according to the intensity of the activity or class. All teaching materials provided, teacher assistant provided.
